After 3 months, the solo cycle ride from Seattle (Westport on the Pacific coast) to New York (Coney Island) is finished.
The main aim was to promote the World Bicycle Relief Program, which is based in Chicago, and is working hard on a current program to provide 23,000 bicycles for Zambia.
Much like the Australian cycle ride in 2005, Phil dropped in as many pubs as possible from Seattle to New York, to give them the opportunity to become Pubs Against Poverty by donating to the World Bicycle Fund.
Thanks to all those who I met along the way, and who donated to the WBR program.
See the gallery for a few snaps, or visit www.photpit.org for the main photo collection.
Thanks, Phil.
p.s. a book of the event is in progress (which will hopefully fund the next project)
